  1. Alcohol and/or drug abuse
  2. Withdrawal from normal or previously pleasurable activities
  3. Undue, continuing anxiety or worry
  4. Too much or too little sleep
  5. Extreme high or low feelings or moods
  6. Tension-caused physical problems (backaches, headaches, jaw clenching, stomachaches)
  7. Excessively strong feelings of anger, guilt, or remorse
  8. Persistent negative or overblown positive self-image or outlook
  9. Substantial, rapid weight gain or loss
  10. Self-harm (cutting, burning, head-banging, punching walls)
